Most practitioner trainings give you more information. This one develops the instrument that determines your depth: your perception. The visible-light band your eyes register is roughly 0.0035% of the electromagnetic spectrum. The rest isn’t absent — you’re simply not equipped to perceive it. Not yet.

You sit with people after the deepest experiences of their lives, holding things you were never formally trained to hold. This training is that container: lineage-rooted, ethically scaffolded — and it does not involve serving or facilitating psychoactive medicine.
You already work with medicine, but you came to it without grounding in Indigenous wisdom, the ethics of holding sacred space, or the perceptual training this depth asks for. You know how to open the door — what you were never taught is how to perceive what moves through it, hold it with lineage and integrity, and guide the integration that follows. This training grounds the one who does the work; it does not teach the serving of medicine.

Mentorship groups and guided practice ensure the work becomes embodied — not just intellectually understood.
Transformation requires time and integration. This certification unfolds over the course of a year, allowing you to develop the maturity and stability required for transformational work.
The curriculum is pre-recorded for flexibility, but you are never alone. Twice-weekly live Office Hours provide direct guidance, real-time coaching for challenging cases, and accountability. You move at your own pace while staying connected to Vonetta and the practitioner community.
Rather than learning isolated techniques, you develop a coherent framework for understanding and guiding human transformation — one you can defend to a colleague, a licensing board, or your own conscience.
You engage deeply in your own healing and growth. The work offered to others emerges from lived experience, not theory alone.
You participate in mentorship and guided discussion that support the real development of practitioner skill. I guide the live Office Hours through May 2027; from June 2027 my apprentices lead — a method that outlives its founder’s constant presence is an architecture, not a personality.

I hold a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Cornell University and have 25+ years of study and practice in the Yogic sciences, Tibetan contemplative traditions, and Indigenous-informed healing practices. My background also includes an Emmy Award–winning career in the arts, where I developed a disciplined approach to storytelling, symbolism, and transformational design.
For over a decade, I have led more than 800 retreats and practitioner trainings worldwide, working with physicians, therapists, psychologists, and leaders across disciplines. I have taught shamanic methodologies to the Graduate School of Social Work at UNC Chapel Hill as continuing education for mental-health professionals.
Where I am still a student, I say so. That ethic is inside everything I teach. The world does not need more techniques. It needs more lighthouses.
